FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – A Flagler County man was arrested after he raped a woman more than 500 times dating back to when she was 12 years old, deputies said.
Now, authorities are wondering whether Leon Wiley Jr. had more victims.
According to an arrest affidavit, the victim told detectives that Wiley Jr., 52, would have sex with her up to three times a day since she was a child.
Not only was Leon Wiley Jr. arrested on the abuse charges, but officials said he might have also sexually assaulted the 7-year-old daughter of the victim.
The 7-year-old was conceived when the victim was 13 years old, authorities said.
After the child was born, Wiley would direct several different men to have sex with the victim, according to records.
“We’re looking at other charges,” said Steve Brandt of the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office. “We believe this may lead into a sex trafficking case as well.”
The victim told detectives that Wiley would have a friend over to have sex with her when she was 17 years old, and would later become pregnant seven times as a result of these meetings.
Wiley would later take the victim to get an abortion after each pregnancy, reports said.
Wiley remains jailed and faces charges relating to the young mother, while investigators try to build a case for charges involving the 7-year-old.
Wiley could also face charges in connection to human trafficking.
Authorities are asking other potential victims to come forward.
Officers arrested Leon Wiley Jr., 52, of Rae Drive at a Palm Coast Walmart on Thursday. Investigators questioned him and he “made several admissions,” according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.
Court records show Wiley was formally charged Friday with sexual assault of a minor by a custodian, tampering with a witness and unlawful sexual activity with a minor. He remained without bond Monday at the Flagler County jail.
The victim, now 21, was identified in an arrest report as “QS.” She detailed years of Wiley’s alleged behavior during the investigation, which began Feb. 24 when she told deputies he had made inappropriate sexual advances to her 7-year-old daughter. It was during that initial interview that QS began revealing lurid details about her relationship with Wiley, saying he took her virginity when she was 12 years old.
The woman said she’d never come forward because she feared retaliation but she was finally compelled to report Wiley after learning of the possibility that he was abusing her daughter.
According to the report, QS conceived her daughter when she was 13 and she wasn’t certain if Wiley was the child’s father. She told detectives she was having sex with Wiley and one of his nephews, who was a juvenile at the time.
QS moved to Holly Hill after her daughter’s birth and the abuse continued, she said. She claimed Wiley introduced her to a friend who visited her at night, drugged her and her daughter, and had sex with her on several occasions. According to reports, QS told deputies she got pregnant seven times during that time frame and Wiley took her to clinics in Orlando and Fort Lauderdale to have abortions.
Reports indicate Wiley continued to contact QS throughout the investigation, despite the fact that she had a court-ordered protective injunction against him. He also tried to convince her to move into his Daytona Beach apartment with her daughter and offered to pay $20,000 if she dropped all the allegations to keep him from going to jail, reports state.
